The Cellar At The Comedy Loft of DC tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a comedy spot that really knows how to keep it real? The Cellar At The Comedy Loft of DC is a hidden gem tucked away in the vibrant Shaw neighborhood. This place is all about showcasing a diverse mix of stand-up talent, from seasoned pros to fresh faces just trying to make you laugh. I’ve seen some pretty hilarious acts there, like local comic D.C. native Marcus, who had everyone in stitches with his hilarious takes on city life. The vibe is super relaxed, and the staff is genuinely friendly, making you feel like you’re hanging out with friends rather than at some stuffy venue. They reopened to indoor audiences back in september 2026 with safety measures in place, but honestly, it still feels intimate enough to get that up-close-and-personal comedy experience. If you’re on a budget, general admission is the way to go and honestly, you’ll still get plenty of laughs for your buck. The location is prime too, just a short walk down 9th Street NW from the Shaw district, with easy access for drivers and nearby bars or eateries to check out after the show. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, The Cellar is a must-visit for anyone craving a night full of laughs in DC.
